Ellie's Chinese Name

I sought out the help of a Chinese woman on one of the boards I frequent for translation of Ellie's name. Here is what she came up with :

春 translates most often as "spring" though it can also translate as "life" or "love" as these are the spirit of spring.

俏 translates as "quiet" or "still" or "silent".

春俏 combined conveys a meaning of "quiet spring" which is symbolic of the peacefulness and tranquility of spring after the winter season is over.

I find this curious of course since she was born in the fall.

  1. It was nice catching up on your blog!!

I really hope the vaccination thing is fixed before travel. I have read a couple blogs about children having to be hospitalized afterwards because of reactions to so many shots!! Gemma will be almost 10, I wonder how many they will have to give her???

Way to go on the potty training Elizabeth!!!

Cant wait to hear about your TA very very soon!!
