Most Recent Travel Thoughts

Since we are going halfway across the earth we thought we might as well arrive a couple of days early and see the sights in Beijing. Chris, Samantha, Elizabeth and I will probably leave on a Tuesday and arrive in Beijing on Wednesday. We hope to visit a hutong, see The Great Wall (duh!), The Summer Palace, perhaps an acrobat show and from what I understand orientation involves visits to Tiananmen Square and The Forbidden City. Perhaps we'll also get to feast on Peking Duck while we're at it! The orientation where we find out what the rest of trip will involve - and get updated pictures and information on Ella - is usually on Saturday and then Sunday we'll fly to Guangzhou to prepare to meet Ella on Monday. We should have a better idea exactly what our schedule will be the end of April / early May!
