The Next Phase of Waiting

In adoption you play a waiting game. Waiting for USCIS to approve your paper work, waiting for your social worker to write up the home study, waiting for all the papers to be authenticated and certified, waiting for a referral, waiting for LOA, waiting for travel approval, waiting to travel. I was told the second time around is harder and at the 3 day mark I'll already have to agree. Elizabeth was almost like a figment of my imagination. I had a picture to look at, but nothing physical to assure me that she would one day be in my arms.
