Waiting...Hoping...Anticipating

Technically the weekend will be over tomorrow night. Now since CCAA says they will notify agencies ahead of the list release there shouldn't be any news too soon. Of course notifying agencies doesn't necessarily mean at least a days notice. I suppose it could be 5 minutes notice. What happens is when new children are added agencies quickly scour through them trying to find a child that matches the criteria of their waiting families. They must put down a families name when they lock and that family can be the only one to send LOI. If the family decides to decline the match the agency cannot access that specific file for 2 weeks. This is different from when we received Elizabeth's referral since another family from our agency had her file and turned her down so our agency at that time had 48 total hours to find a family for her. I thank God that the first family declined her. When a list comes out it is not uncommon for a child to be turned down and then appear back on the list. That is why it doesn't really do a whole lot of good to be disappointed too soon. Many matches are made in the days and even weeks after the release. CCAA is always adding small amounts of children on practically a daily basis. I feel that in order to protect my heart I need to expect that we should be matched no later than March and forget the original 1 - 4 months estimate. Hopefully this will keep me sane. Maybe?
